Very First iPod Created October 23, 2001 |

The first iPod was introduced in october of 2001. It had 5-10GB capacity and a scroll wheel opposed to a touch wheel. It used a 1.8" hard drive and 4 auxiliary buttons around the wheel. Also has a battery life of 10 hours. |
2nd Generation iPod Created July 17, 2002 |

This model has a FireWire port cover, FireWire port, headphones port, and a hold switch. It has a capacity of 10-20GB and has a battery life of 10 hours. The differece between the first generation and the second gereration ipod is that the hold button was redesigned, and the mechanical wheel was replaced wiht a sensitive touch wheel. The front face also has rounded corners instead of square edges. |

The first model of the 4th generation I-Pod has a display that is monochromatic andthe other 4th generation I-Pod has a color display. the monochromatic ipod was released on July 19, 2004 and has a capacity of 20-40GB as weel as a battery life of 12 hours. The Iphoto Ipod was released on October 26, 2004. It has a capacity of 30-60GB and a batterlife of 15 hours. |

The 5th generation iPod is considered the video iPod. It can display videos as well as movies. It has a wide screen color display and the colors choices for the body of the iPod are back and white. This model has a capacity of 30-80 GB and a battery life of 14-20 hours. |
5th Generation iPod U2 Limited Edition |

The 5th generation iPod U2 Limited Edition is considered the video iPod. It can display videos as well as movies. It has a wide screen color display and the colors of the body are blac.k and red. The only differece between the 5th generation I-Pod and the U2 I-Pod is that it is limited edtion and signed by all the members of U2. |

This model has all of the same features as the original 5th generation except it has a silver or black aluminum cover and polished stainless steel. This model was released on September 5, 2007. It has a capacity of 80-160GB and a battery life of 30-40 hours. |

The 4th generation ipod nano has a curved surface and an oval shape for the top and bottom of the model. This model includes the new shake feature. This feature allows you to shuffle music by just shaking the ipod from side to side. The shake feature can be disabled 2 different ways inorderot prevent any acciddental activation of the feacher. In order do this the first way is to hold the swith on the top of the Ipod nano to on. the second wasy is by turning of the "Shake" featue by choosing Settings>Playback on ipod nano. |

The first generation iPod shuffle was released on January 11, 2005.This model was designed ot me easily loaded with a smaller selection of songs and a play list that would be played in a random order. The capacity of .5-1 GB and has a battery life of 12 hours. |

This model was released on September 12, 2008. it has a capacity of 1-2 GB and a battery life of 12 hours. It is less than half the size of the first generation iPod nano. Its the smallest MP3 player in the world. It includes a built in clip. |

This brand new iPod shuffle can speak to you. There is a small button that you press and the shuffle will tell you what song you are listening to and who performs the song. Its very similar to original iPod shuffle. It has a head phone port that is also used for connecting into the USB port on you computer. It also has a clip! (WOAH) |

The iPod touch includes more features than any of the the other previous iPods. What is included with the iPod touch are games that are specially designed for the iPod touch, music that allows you to preview your music library and flip through songs and albums, movies and tv shows on a 3.5 inch widescreen display, and the internet. All of these fun attributes of games, movies, etc can be found in the iTunes store under the apps. Whats neat about the iPod touch is that everything is only a touch away no matter where you are. |

The Verizon company feels that they are better suited for the iPhone and due to their company being #1 in the country, their feelings are that the iPhone service should be theirs. |
